Although former number 1 pick, Greg Oden, is mostly hurt during every season, the Portland Trailblazers have stuck behind him. Through Odens whole career he has played only 82 games and averages 22 minutes per game (MPR). The Trailblazers recently offered Oden an 8.8 million offer to stay in Portland. This offer means Oden becomes a restricted free agent. The Blazers can match any other offers made for him. Trailblazers President, Larry Miller, released a statement saying,"We've stood behind Greg Oden everyday since he was a Trailblazer and that continues with today's announcement. Despite the setbacks, he's experienced, he continues to be resilient in working tirelessly on his rehabilitation. We are all very encouraged with not only his progress, but with his commitment and determination to return to the basketball court."
