Lamar Odom, a 6'10, 230 pound, small forward-power forward, who can dribble and shoot like a guard. I think the Lakers should keep Lamar Odom. There are many reasons why he shouldn't be traded. The most ovious reason that Lamar Odom shouldnt be traded is because he was awarded 6th man of the year in the previous season. Only one player in the NBA is honored with that award. Last season although Lamar was not an all-star he was playing out of his mind and is ready to come back strong this season and is going to retry his goal loofa making the NBA all-star team. Through out Odom's Laker career, which started in the 03-04 season, he has been keeping up solid stats and even though his ppg (points per game) dropped to 10.8 in the 09-10 season he came back last season with 14.6 points per game and last season had the highest 3 point % and field goal % in his career which started in the 99-00 season. He also went strong on the boards with an average of 8.7 rebounds. When Andrew Bynum was sidelined with a knee injury, who stepped up and started in the power forward position? Lamar Odom!! In the previous post season, Lamar Odom had 49 points in the 4 games of the Dallas series, even though the Los Angeles Lakers came up short and were knocked out by the Dallas Mavericks, which were later crowned National Champions. In the whole post season for the Lakers which only played 10 games, Lamar Odom had 121 points compared to Pau Gasol's 131 post season points who started all 10 games. Don't get me wrong im not saying trade Pau Gasol, but don't get rid of Lamar Odom. I know some people might say that they want a higher pick in the NBA draft but if you really look at Odom's stats and achievements, you will notice he is worth keeping. Also a couple bonuses to keeping Lamar Odom is he is a great leader, a amazing player to build your bench around, has great chemistry with the team, and knows the offense and defense inside and out. Keep Lamar in Los Angeles!!!! Comment Yes if you agree and comment no if you disagree and tell why. Thank You.
