Lamar Odom contd.

10 reasons why the Los Angeles Lakers should Keep Lamar Odom:

10: Attitude and Swagger - Lamar Odom is not a dirty player but is willing to get down and dive and tie up loose balls when he needs to. Also, when his teammates get in a little scuffle he is there to back them up.

9: Andrew Bynums Health - Andrew Bynum has been injured on and off for the past three seasons with his knee. Lamar Odom comes in as power forward which moves Pau Gasol up to center and Lamar has proved he can be a starter. What if Bynum gets injured again? Who is going to come in if the Lakers get rid of Lamar? Nobody.

8: Pau's Gasol - Although Gasol does not get injured often what if he got injured? Lamar Odom has been in those shoes - filling injured players spots.

7: Statistics - How many teams have a player who can get up off the bench and go get a double-double? Not many teams, accept the Lakers (Lamar Odom)

6: Defense - Lamar Odom is a big and strong paler but is also fast. On defense he is very capable of guarding the inside post area and the perimeter .

5: Offense - Odom is a very skilled 6-10 player. He can play the post and can also play like a guard handling the ball, driving the ball, and has a nice perimeter shot. If a player of his position is guarding Lamar, he has a very good chance off beating them because most small forwards-power forwards are bigger and slower than Odom.

4: Coast to Coast - Lamar Odom is one of very few who can pull down a rebound and lead a fast break. Odom is one of the best rebounders in the league and a great ball hander.

3: Rebounding - Rebounding is a very big key of basketball. That is one of few ways to get possession of the ball. Lamar Odom is a very great rebounder on the offensive and defensive boards.

2: Selfless - Lamar Odom doesn't care if he starts or comes off the bench, all that matters to him is if he helps contribute to the team and getting the win. When Lamar Odom had the chance to leave the Lakers in 2009, he took a pay cut to stay with the team. "Lamar is glue that holds the Lakers together.

1: Consistent - Inconsistance used to be an issue with Lamar Odom, stats going up and down every season. But in the past couple seasons he has kept similar high numbers to help the Lakers. Especially after Bynum missing lots of games, Lamar came in and was consistent night after night.

And People are saying trade him? I don't think so!!
