After all the recent trade rumors, Mitch Kupchak, Los Angeles Lakers General Manager, released a statement the night of the draft. During the NBA 11-12 Draft, Mitch Kupchak stated that his guess is that guard, Shannon Brown, will opt out of his contract and become a free agent. I think Shannon Brown will leave because he wants to be a starter. Every player wants to be a starter, but if i was Brown, I would stay with the Lakers because the team is getting old and if he was patient and waited, he could earn his way up to starting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers.
