After the NBA lockout was announced, many palyers have been thinking about goingto play overseas while the NBA figures the whole lockout issue out. New Jersey Nets current point guard, Deron Williams, stated on twitter that he has signed with a Turkish team. Willilams also posted a picture of the agreement with Besiktas (the coach of the Turkish team) bearing his signature. The Daily News Of New York stated that Nets star has a one year, $5 million contract, which includes a car, housing, and a 24 hour personal assistant. Also included in his contract is the option to return to the NBA if the Lockout ends.
My Oppinion = I think it was a good idea for Deron Willaims to sign with a Turkish Team. Why? Because in the off season Deron Williams gets to keep doing what he loves, makes money, is working out for the upcoming NBA season, and has the option to comeback to the NBA when the Lockout is resolved.
I agree with Deron Williams decision.
